My second book, The Map of Heaven: How Science, Religion, and Ordinary People are Proving the Afterlife, is coming out today, October 7.
I’m so excited to share it with you. After all, it was inspired by the stories entrusted to me and my collaborator, Ptolemy Tompkins, by friends, strangers, sages–and readers.
It’s a book that uses modern stories, science, and ancient wisdom to explore the truths that love and the eternal soul are vital and death is not final.
The first few days of a book’s life are essential to its success.
If you follow me on facebook or twitter, you know about “Team Eben.” It’s a group of family and friends who contribute to my website, help me keep in touch with readers, and spread the word.
Today, I ask you to join Team Eben.
Help us spread the word about The Map of Heaven. If you have 2 minutes, you can help us reach out and show people the truth: you are loved, you are not alone, and there is more to heaven and earth than you have dreamed.

Last, if you haven’t already, read my essay in this week’s TIME Magazine (link), “Science Is Being Forced To Take the Afterlife Seriously.” It’s an adaptation of material from the book, and I hope you enjoy it.

A quick note– Eben has received a few emails inquiring how to join Team Eben and help spread the book news if you don’t use facebook or twitter. Great question! There are lots of ways to help. Suggest MAP OF HEAVEN to your book club, recommend it to friends, or email a link to someone you know would enjoy it. However you choose to help, we’d love to have support from readers and fans of PROOF OF HEAVEN in getting out the message about the next chapter of Eben’s journey. Later this week, look for a new post on all the forthcoming editions of THE MAP OF HEAVEN soon. Meanwhile, here are links to all of the editions we’ve mentioned on the blog so far:Click the US book cover to go to the US amazon page.
Click the Spanish-language cover to go to the North American Spanish edition (to be published 11/4/15)
Gordon, dear friend, you obviously come from a Christian interpretation that holds fast to salvation only being offered within the death of Jesus Christ. Years ago I followed the same path, now, through demonstrations of love and I believe insight from God I have come to acknowledge that we are loved, whether we follow a path of spirituality and altruism or whether we choose to experience other paths. I cannot accept that God stamps His/Her feet and points to a hell in punishment for not following a set path. We are all, Light beings, and the reason for the variation of that Light is the choices we make within our heavier bodies. It is all service to the God who formed us, and to whoever we link up with throughout our physical experience. I extend, honour and regard to you for your contribution to the larger scheme of things. Sincerely, Margaret.
Thank you Dr Eben Alexander . i will read it on the 14th next week because i live in Austria so it will take a little bit longer to have your book in my hands. And btw i love to listen to your presentations on youtube .

Please forgive me if this is a bit “off-topic,” but this is as good a place as any: I was unable to get through on your appearance on Coast to Coast AM this morning (too many calls ahead of me), so I’ll “try again,” if that would be alright:
1) What (if anything) did anyone in heaven tell you about Jesus, when you visited? [E.g., physical appearance, or: did angels/people *worship* Jesus, etc.? I ask because we’re taught to ‘Test the Spirits’ in theology and Bible school (I John 4:1-3) ad James 2:19. The fallen angels believe, but they don’t confess openly, for fear of reprisal.]
2) I’m sure you saw babies in heaven, but I’d like to know, how do babies achieve salvation? (I ask this because my faith teaches me that people need ‘faith,’ something impossible for babies; they will be in heaven for the time being, but when/where/how will infants who died in infancy get a chance to exercise Free Will and accept/reject God like the angels -one-third of whom fell, or humans, only some of whom will accept/have faith in God?)
3) If you saw, say, Gabriel, Michael, or some other angel, what’d they look like?
Thank you,
