Nature is an expression of God, or, if you prefer, of the creative force and intelligence in the universe.
The mathematical precision of our world and the fine-tuning of physical parameters involved in its structure serve as compelling evidence of a highly ordered consciousness underlying all of existence. This ordering intelligence, which many might refer to as a creative God, is the source of our conscious awareness as sentient beings.
As quantum physics reveals, there is no separation between this ultimate creative force and our awareness of existing in this universe. The observer, the self-awareness of the universe for itself, is us at the deepest level.
Feeling connected to a source greater than ourselves clearly brings great comfort. Our religious concepts of a loving, merciful, and compassionate force operating in the universe have originated from human encounters in the spiritual realm as reported by prophets and religious mystics for millennia. When forced to use language to describe such interactions, we typically position this great source as something “other” or separate from us, rather than integrally connected with and through us.
Many spiritually transformative experiences include reports of becoming God. Our Western culture stumbles a bit at the suggestion that we human beings can become one and identical with God. Such a disclosure can result in accusations of being an egomaniac or, worse yet, suffering from a messiah complex or mental illness. Yet the concrete reality of such true unity of our souls with source is the exact opposite of any such egotistical interpretation, and each of us can develop a relationship with God from within.
Spending time in the great outdoors can be a profound inspiration to feeling connected with this creative force. Whether at the ocean, in the mountains or at a local city park, nature provides a means for all of us to connect, not only with the beauty of our planet, but also with the vast energetic force behind it.
PRACTICE
Spend time out in nature and marvel over its beauty. Imagine yourself merging with the sun, trees, mountains, water or wind. Feel the difference between these different living items and then feel yourself merging with all creation, with love, with God – a part of, not separate from. Revisit these feelings during your daily contemplative practice.
The following statement is not mine but I wanted to share it because it captures precisely how we are one with God.
“Every creature is not only a member of a certain species but also a unique aspect of the infinite mystery of God. Every aspect of creation is a unique sacred story, and through our interconnectedness with God and all creation, we are part of the sacred story”
From Patrick C, St. Anthony Messenger
One of my favorite nature experiences that brings me face to face with the intelligence and design of the natural world doesn’t involve being wow-ed by mountains, waterfalls, night skies or anything on the macro level. It’s the MICRO level. When I go hiking, or even sitting in my back yard, I keep a high quality hand lens on me. I inspect moss, soil, bark, lichen, rocks with and without fossils, twigs, insect exoskeletons, seed pods and pollen. Fractals, the Golden Ratio…all of it…is present. This point of view literally focuses my entire visual field on the things that we cannot see with our bare eyes, and the designs that keep on expressing themselves at such a tiny scale really drives home the relativity that we all experience. Diatoms are one of my favorite things ever….their designs are dazzling to me. Prettier than any polished jewel.
Amy – would you kindly tell me the brand of the High Quality Hand Lens that you use ? Like you, I love examining the miniature patterns of nature, the tiny life-forms that fill me with overwhelming wonder at the perfection and function of Nature – even at this minuscule level – beyond the level of the naked eye . . . . who is this god – this super-intelligent creator ?!!!

Dear Chris,
I felt really uncomfortable about answering your question since it was directed to Eben, so I decided to put it down here instead so it was clear it wasn’t from him.
If other people’s experience is anything like mine, it sometimes doesn’t take much to discard even a powerful event if one is inclined to do so. I went through a period when I flirted w/ atheism, but kept remembering all the strange & puzzling experiences I had had. Much of my “atheism” was disgust w/ exoteric teachings that carry so, so many abuses in their history, such as those grimly discussed by Christopher Hitchens, among others. I tried to jump off of my 10th story dormitory window ledge in my sophomore year at university one night, but a very powerful voice inside me yelled, “NOOOOOOOO!” & I quickly scooted back off the ledge. Did it make me want to become a minister or change me to any great degree? No, it didn’t. Maybe being deeply depressed at the time blunted the whole thing, but now I have that memory to draw on & ponder. If I can turn away from any number of profoundly hard-to-explain events, then other people probably can. Another question: are there really many persons that don’t have any mystical experiences their entire life? Am I really that unusual or just unusually thick-skulled? Maybe it’s just that cliche, it takes all kinds to make the world go ’round or it really is the Hokey-Pokey, that’s what it’s all about.
One thing easy to forget is that we are nature, too. We as just as much nature as a bee or a leaf or a rock. So often we humans speak of nature as if there is us in one corner and nature in the other. On another note: I took a course on the Kabala with this group in Israel. One of their teachings is that God IS nature.
Good and lovely day, All!
Our life comes from where? You know? Or at least you intuit or imagine? Science still can not explain what life is. Life is what you can call a manifestation of God. As many people do not believe in God, read a deep explanation in the letters of Christ. http://www.elementalgracealliance.com/Christ's%20Letters_Articles_Messages%202007%202014%20Latest%20Edition%20August%202017.pdf
Arthur on February 3, 2019 wrote very well one of the causes for this. Over the past few years I have come to a daily battle against perfectionism, realizing that it is unattainable and the worst enemy of creativity. And with that in the advance of our knowledge.
As I wrote earlier, I realize that we would be like shoots of the energetic manifestation of the Source, Universal Consciousness. This means that Universal Consciousness or its physical manifestation, the Divine Consciousness, as Christ writes, is, as energy, the support of our beings, the hardware of our organisms, the software of our consciousness. Jesus said, “The kingdom of God is at near (Mark 1:15, Matthew 10:7).” But not close in time, but rather close in space (Luke 17:21 The kingdom of God is in your midst). In reality it is like the water of the ocean that envelops and that trespasses a body of a fish. Support, nourish, protect this fish. It is a LIVING and LOWING ENERGY (something that physics can not explain) that cradles us, sustains us, guides us when we so desire (free will, as long as the ego does not interfere). Remember that water and other materials are in essence energy. Christ informs us that the kingdom of God surrounds us and pervades us, and that our consciences and thoughts are also energy. The eternal Father is always with us: we are never alone. But we often do not know that. Nobody taught us that. Finally, scientists such as Eben and Amit are waking up and passing on this knowledge. Christ wrote in detail on this from the perspective of a more evolved spiritual being. We are spiritual beings, Terranauts or Earthnauts like the Cosmonauts, in evolution, doing an apprenticeship here on Earth, using a human body with limited artificial intelligence.
And this certainly means that our essence (The True Self, not the ego) is one with the Source. Who can have the creative power of Source. This does not mean that we are the Source. Jesus in the Gospels and then Christ, in his letters 2000 years later, makes it clear that his essence is of the Son of God (infinite and immortal, but the body is a simple son of man, finite and mortal). And the son of God is not God. This Jesus makes plain. The Father is in me and I am in the Father, but I am not the Father, since He is much greater. (John 14)
To the question whether science can prove the existence of God, I must say that science, or rather a scientist, who is part of the whole, can not explain the whole, something extremely greater. A cell of our body could never explain and describes the whole body, although the program of the whole body is contained in the cell. An Indian could never respond as one builds a spacecraft to reach the Moon and safely disembark there. Or a primary school child could never explain the theories and experiences studied at the University or post-doctoral level. As Eben writes: the mathematical evidence suggests a clever design and a designer behind everything and we call it God.
But Christ in his letters tells us what that God, or rather Father-Mother-Life, is, and how Life works, just as we should behave in our journey on earth to fulfill our mission.
And quantum physics is an advance in human knowledge that manages to explain a much greater and causal spiritual existential level that materialistic science can not penetrate. Look at the texts of Amit Goswami (God is not dead, and, Physics of the soul).
Certainly what Bob Fay wrote on October 16, 2017, that God is not the Universe, is correct. The Universe is Creature, Creation, and being so it is finite. The Creative Source, or Essence, is infinite, eternal, indescribable, indefinite. How does a drop (we humans) seek to explain the so complex ocean? But this does not invalidate the fact that we are being wrapped in the arms of this Essence, nourished, counseled, protected. This essence is close to us, we are a sapling of this Essence, clothed in character as human beings, with its limiting, filtering ego, focused on a specific mission. We need to reconnect us to this Essence, if we want to experience the Spiritual Intelligence in our life.
I also read the Letters of Christ and he said our mission in life is to discover who we really are.
In the bible in John 14 -8 when Phillip asked to see the father, Jesus said “if you have seen me you have seen the father so how can you say say “show us the Father” John 14-20 “In that day you shall know that I am in my Father and you are in me and I am in you”. Also in John 20, Jesus repeats this fact. Since there is really nothing other than the Father, how can we be separate from Him?
“Wheresoever you turn, there is the face of Allah” – Qur’an.
Well put, Fred. There is only God. We are God!
Sri Ramakrishna:
“ pray to Him in any way you like. He is there to hear you, for He can hear even the footfall of an ant”
Can Atheists sense believe in this underlying creative force and intelligence of the universe and still consider themselves atheists?
This is a great question – it really depends on your definition or concept of “god.” Many atheists don’t believe in religious dogma, but may be more open to the concept of an “underlying creative force and intelligence of the universe.” In that sense, I believe a true atheist would believe there is nothing at all underlying our universe except natural laws that unfold with no meaning and purpose.
agree Karen !
I was talking with a co worker to day, we often have discussions like this, I was talking about how I witness everyday miracles in my life. Little things that go beyond coincidence. We program Computer controlled machines to make rapid prototypes. Complex solid models from virtual files the customers send us. Often I get a prompting, almost a voice, saying go check the machine. Often I find a problem. Could be my sub conscious but I think not usually. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, (Mormons) I have become familiar with this voice in my life and depend on Him / Her for guidance.
I was with a group of people putting a pond in our community garden. It is a place that has become a trans formative element in the neighborhood. We had to break through a foot of very old cement that had been the foundation for a church. We were making little progress with sledge hammers and chisels. On that day, just outside the fence, the only time I have seen them there in over 40 years living here, Con Edison was working with a jack hammer. I hemmed and hawed, argued a little with the voice, about the illegality of asking them, but finally did and the foreman said: yes. I am handy with tools and there was a man who was with the garden all of two weeks who had experience with jack hammers. Between us we broke through the cement and created a pond deep enough for the fish to stay all winter. It is a little oasis in the middle of a bustling city.
If this was a singular event I would brush it off as coincidence but I could go on about others and know I have forgotten many because they almost seem commonplace in my life. I am always careful to be grateful for the good that happens and for the bad that could have been a lot worse without those promptings. I often hear Amy Grant in my head singing “Angels all around me. I know sometimes they fight.”
I am a christian but I know these sorts of events are not unique to any sect or denomination. God the Father / Mother, OM, Allah, Great Spirit etc. Is no respecter of persons and is far beyond our imagination or even our ability to imagine and exactly how this all fits together, we cannot know until we meet face to face.
This is so true… our oneness and connection with nature. I don’t believe we have any idea just how connected we area on a spiritual and molecular level. When I was in my mid 20’s I traveled with a friend to a lighthouse located on a small island up the west coast of BC. One day a friend and very old man took us out to a part of the landscape in his old carved boat in which he lived, to an area that appeared untouched by humans. Once we hiked in through the brush, I stood still soaking in the visual splendor of this majestic untouched space. I appeared to be standing in an inlet with the water lapping up gently onto a very course and small sandy beach. As my eye followed the trees and bushes around to the end of this inlet which appears as a fiord, my eyes followed up to a mountain that was covered in snow even though this was in the summer. As this instance, I lost all awareness of the two people I had traveled with an saw and experienced myself standing in the water close to shore, falling ever so slowly backwards into the water. As this was happening, I experienced myself dissolving into everything that was nature… everything that was so pure… everything that was so majestic. I have since heard the expression… “to be one with nature”, but in this moment, I truly experienced being one with every blade of grass, drop of water, and grain of sand. I cannot begin to tell you what this felt like. It was beyond joy and only lasted I believe for a few seconds. When I came back to realize where I was, I turned to try to find my friend and guide, and they were both standing several yards away talking softly to each other. I am led to believe that we have no idea as to just how we are connected to everything that is physical in this world, and on a spiritual level as well. I am truly grateful to spirit for this beautiful experience. I am wondering if anyone else taking this course, has experienced something similar?
I felt a profound and life-giving connection with nature whenever I found myself near a river in Gualán, my home-town, in Guatemala.
All of a sudden, in my teen years, surrounded by nature, I would experience trance-like moments as I marveled at the natural landscapes!
As I entered into these states of mind spontaneously, I would experience a pervading sense of joy, a belonging and oneness with the natural world.
A land of an eternal spring, Guatemala is populated by immense shade trees, a diversity of fruit-plants, exuberant greenery and multi-colored and variegated vegetation!
These moments of silence and spontaneous focused attention evoked in me a deep sense of wonder, fulfillment, meaning, and gratitude!
Dear Tre
That – what you just wrote- completely silenced and touched me. You literally brought one to that space of Oneness.
Thankyou for sharing such a beautiful – and in my eyes- TRUTH AWAKENING moment.

I, too, have felt profound connections in nature. One day I was walking up Mt. Diablo’s foothills, following a dry creek bed. (That’s in No. California) I came to a very small pool of water that was about 5-6 feet across and appeared only a few inches deep. It was muddy looking water. Something told me to sit down here and meditate. I used to kind of “disappear into the blue” when I meditated; everything stopped, disappeared, no conscious thought. When I eventually opened my eyes I was amazed to see a line of fish, all facing me, maybe 10 or so about 5-6 inches long, silvery looking; slightly moving. They were staring at me fixedly. I had seen no evidence of fish in this small, muddy pool. Then my husband came walking up and they high-tailed it our of sight.
One of my most astounding experiences in nature.
Yes Ter. O have been hiking along the northeast coast of the USA along the lower Bay of Fundy and with no advanced meditation or otherwise found myself standing completely still experiencing a distinct yet gentle vibration that was not just in my body but shared with everything around me…trees, tocks, birds, trail, water….everything. The sense of being part of it all to the deepest part of myself led me to believe that I was not separate. I have experienced this along the ocean while photographing a tidal change and also while standing in the night overwhelmed with the wonder of the Northern Lights. Tese experiences happened withon a few hundred yards of my home while one was along a coastal a few miles away. At first I thought perhaps I had perhaps stepped into portals but was not able to repeat the experience…..so, I wondered do Portals shift, were they portal regions,….Additionally, two weeks ago I was viewing a photograph I had taken of a waterfall in my state and experienced a somewhat similar wonder…that of suddenly bring at that waterfall to the extent that I could hear the rush of the water, smell it’s mountain coolness and taste the sweetness of the cold mountain stream on my lips ..also, I could feel my husband’s energy next to me. He transitioned 4 months ago.. I deeply grieved leaving this last experience. I plan to re-visit this place place soon as I want to spend time there thinking it may be a portal.
Dear Ter,
What an exquisitely lovely place that must be! How lucky you were!
I got a good laugh out of a magazine article about a psychologist who was pioneering “nature therapy.” This person was suggesting that being outside in natural surrounding was good for you. Are there really that many people who don’t find nature an overwhelmingly easy way to feel the Great Love’s presence? Woody Allen likes to joke that “Nature & I are two.” Is the wholesale destruction of so many parts of the world due to that disconnection? It seems the answer is obvious.
My most recent “nature & I are One” experience happened one afternoon in my backyard organic veggie patch. It was a warm early spring day in Texas & I was weeding my carrot bed in the tree shade for at least an hour.
There was little or noise, but the pleasant sound of leaves rustling & birds chirping. All at once, I became gently aware of coming back to my body from a vast distance from every direction at once, w/ such a peaceful, joyful sense of contentment! It was like I had taken a vacation w/o knowing it.
Many years before that, I helped put a bunch of tomato plants in behind my college roommate’s house. I put quite bit of time into carefully checking them for insects by lifting their branches & looking underneath, being sure they were watered, & so on. After a particularly bad day at school. I went out to the plants in a very miserable, drained frame of mind. But soon after I had begun my usual intent inspection, I got such a nice burst of energy from those plants! I couldn’t deny feeling it, & it left me dumbfounded. Not long after that, I read “The Secret Life of Plants” by Peter Tompkins & Christopher Bird. What a revelation! Sentient plants? Of course! I can detect an aura around plants & trees w/ my dowsing rods just like around people, so they can send & receive love just like people & animals!
Throughout the 19th century in English literature Nature was so often the focal point, a place of healing, especially in the works of the Transcendentalists and Wordsworth, but also many more. And so often we are given the advice by energy healers to walk barefoot in the grass, to reconnect with Nature, with the grounding force of the earth. This connection is part of our vitality, and we seem to let go of it when we are caught up in life. I think that is when we lose track of ourselves in certain ways, the real self, I mean. Last night here in Rhinebeck we had the full Wolf’s Moon. So bright and wonderful. An hour south of here is the Wolf Conservation Center, which I have visited, and they have webcams–so last night they had one for the wolves in moonlight. The feeling of connection to everything, even with remote viewing, was awesome.
Years ago after reading “Proof of Heaven” I sent a report to the Eternea collection of an out-of-body experience I had in the early 80s. It changed my life. What I remember among other things was the feeling of being part of the whole, that there was no other way. I was speeding through galaxies and geometric forms and a light was in the distance, and it seemed a cauldron of light. The feeling it gave was like that of being in Nature. Everything IS.
That’s incredible… the oneness that we are… speeding through galaxies to the cauldron of light… what a Blessed journey… your story gives me hope, thank you.
I remember Paul Winter in his Common Ground album days… at Woolsey Hall in CT, Paul with a soprano Sax had a wolf onstage and he mirrored the wolf’s ascending and descending melody with his sax… you felt the oneness and interconnectedness of all life.
You said it accurately, precisely. We are, each of us, a manifestation of the creative and intelligent evolving Universe. It is our language that separates. The kicker for us humans is we are the one species that we know of that can be conscious of being conscious, of Consciousness itself, another way of saying creative and intelligent, evolving Universe. What an incredible gift.
Thank you for your clarity.
David
Thank you…
conscious of being conscious, of Consciousness itself… great way to say that
My experience was one which left no doubt or confusion as to there being a unique and separate creative loving God, who desires us to live our earthly lives in a way which reflects love, mercy, and respect for others. Our spiritual body resides within our physical bodies, and it is this part of God in each of is that will return to Him when our physical bodies die. As I stood by my son’s bed after pleading prayerfully to be able to just touch the robe of Jesus, so that my son’s seizures would be ceased, I felt an overwhelming warmth. My spiritual body moved forward from my physical body, and I saw a kind of oval window into a view of heavenly spiritual bodies moving in the same direction separate, but all together like a slow moving river. There was an indescribably beautiful harmonic sound as they sang or praised in unison the source they were moving toward. I was only able to see the spiritual bodies, not where they were going. When my husband came to the door, I was aware that my spiritual body moved back into physical body’s consciousness. We reflect and are empowered by our creator, if we choose. …my son has not had another seizure for 15 years; he had grand maul seizures at least daily.
Beautiful experience.
Thank you Bette…
miraculous experience & story gives me faith hope and love…
What of the many demonstrations in our world of the process of emergence? What emergence reveals is a ubiquitous natural progression from very simple beginnings to increasing complexity of form and function. What that tells me is that at least in some sense, the basis of our reality is very simple and is not complex or really even ordered, since there isn’t a lot there to *be* ordered. It may be unimaginably powerful, but it appears to be very, very simple in nature, with what we think of as order appearing later. What develops out of it displays an amazing level of interaction and progression, which some refer to as evolution. It’s an increasingly complex expansion. What drives the expansion and increase in complexity appears to be awareness, or consciousness if you prefer. The parts or particles are aware of each other, and aware of the ways interaction is possible. Using an unfortunate word like “God,” which is meaningless for communication since it is given a myriad of meanings so it can mean whatever anyone wants it to mean, in my experience entirely fails to suggest or point to the breathtaking mystery and wonder at the heart of what I’ve just been describing. I often find myself wishing that more people could take the more difficult road of mystery and silence, rather than using words that seem convenient but which only result in confusion and division. With apologies, I feel that it’s time to express this more widely.
Well, I am taught in my religion that our true destiny, if we wish it, is to become a God, just as God is. He wants for us ALL that he has, and is. So this resonates with me completely. Perhaps some of the vocabulary is different, but the concept is there. “As man is, God once was. As God is, man may become.” This is not arrogance on our part as humans, but a divine destiny planned by a loving father for his treasured children.
Amen (so be it)

God= The Great I Am.
Eben,
You have referenced quantum physics in all of your books and here in the 33 day journey.
Is mankind close to Discovering God thru scientific discovery? Was this truth (sentient beings discover God thru science) known in heaven? Could doing so change our lives on earth?
Science never proves nor disproves anything – it is all about lining up the empirical evidence in an effort to better understand “reality.” Our position in the book is very much one of demonstrating how our notion of an all-loving co-creative God force (based in love and creation, as opposed to death and destruction or some neutrality) is demonstrably real, especially to those who have had “spiritually transformative experiences.” NDEs over millennia support the reality of a healing force of love at the core of all existence, and similar experiences among prophets and mystics have led to our religious belief systems. The spiritual reality of God is implied by the primacy of consciousness as increasingly demanded by the results of experiments in quantum physics showing there is no objective external physical reality independent of the observing conscious mind. Our deepest theories of mind, brain and consciousness reject the simplistic falsehoods of materialist science (witness “the hard problem of consciousness” and the nature of the observer in the measurement paradox of quantum physics), because the empirical results of such experiments require that observing mind to exist. Other lines of evidence, especially about non-local consciousness (i.e. telepathy, remote viewing, out of body phenomena, precognition, presentiment, NDEs, shared death experiences, past life memories in children indicative of reincarnation, etc.) support the notion that we are all sharing the dream of the “One Mind,” which can be viewed as that God consciousness based on NDEs. Consciousness is one, and each one of us witnesses our personal perspective, but it is not so “individual” as our casual daily observations would suggest. Likewise, that consciousness is liberated to a much higher level of oneness with the One Mind when we leave our physical bodies once and for all, but also during deep prayer, meditation, and other natural states that lead to spiritually transformative experiences. John Wheeler’s “Participatory Anthropic Principle” also highlights from the perspective of an acclaimed quantum thinker that our very consciousness is the only factor that can bring any aspect of reality into being. Realizing that that consciousness is just a facet of the “One Mind” is a helpful perspective. So science certainly supports the notion of God (one that actually influences individual lives), but much is left to clarify about the nature and origins of such a loving deity. And remember that we are in no way “separate” from that God — our very spark of conscious awareness is directly originating in that force of creation.
Thank you. I love your books. I will read your new one soon! Obviously my questions are from this reality.
Eben,
As much as I really would love to believe this, especially your last line about how each individual consciousness is such because it’s emanating from the force of creation (god), but I simply can’t understand something: how then can we explain the insurmountable confusion, at almost every level, regarding this topic (not to mention the difficultly in trying to communicate other things), and especially- how about the incredibly articulate thinkers who completely dispel the notion of “god,” or spiritual realities? How is that people exist, who can be so loving, so clear minded, so logical, in almost every area of their lives, and yet dispose of the idea of “god” as completely superfluous?
Makes no sense to my mind, if in fact we are all part of the one mind, how people with so much intelligence can 1) totally miss it, and 2) live lives full of (seeming) meaning and profound peace, whilst never toiling over the ideas expressed herein, regarding the issue of a spiritual reality.
When I had my Near Death experience, I was led to God which was an incredible large (stories) source of energy with waves, the purest of white blinding energy but warm with unconditional love.
From that point, I learn everything has a vibration, a source of energy. A blade of grass, a rock and us with our chakra’s, all have the divine source in us. We are made in the likeness of the God source, energy. When we need alignment, we can go out in nature because nature is always in balance. Prime Creator has created beauty in all there is and the intelligence of all, the complexities of our very body systems all working in complete unison is just one example of the Prime Creator’s work. We are blessed. Thank you Karen and Eben.
6.” Knowing not Me in them, they are alone in
all the universe; but knowing Self of them as Me in
them, they then are Me; they then, with Me, are all
My universe.” THE MESSAGE OF THE DIVINE ILIAD
Walter Russell, Vol.1, page 20
I once asked the Father, “What is heaven like?” I don’t usually
get answers in prayer, but I did then almost immediately: “My
heaven is being with you.” That astounded me and I soon came
to realize that applies to everyone.”
Thank you… Forever lovingly, God loves us…
I’m sure that most of the people following you believe that the universe is God. I disagree. The universe began 13.7 billion years ago and will end when entropy turns all potential energy into spent energy. Attaching yourself to the universe is a waste of time and effort. It will die. God will not. Heaven is not a part of this universe. Believe in a God that can save you and allow you to be one with him for all eternity. Belief in the universe as God will eventually kill you.
A real difficult subject and yet indeed so simply always there:
in minerals/metals, plants, animals, fellow human beings, weather conditions and the rest of the universe.
But most of all our own inner world.
Brought up in 2 different religions, it was a struggle to find out why and where was the difference.. until i discovered in my teens that there was one shared concept: God -allah- the source..
During my scientific based education this concept was questioned and sometimes even abandoned .. until i met my first dying patient.
This impact was of a nonverbal kind. And still resonates in my memories.
Opening other senses or shall i say refining them ?
Knowing without using the daily thought actions.
Diving into bio-and quantumfysics has only deepened and confirmed the concept discussed here for me
Thanks Eben and Karen for these in-sights and new ways of understanding.
Any thoughts about Black Wholes and gravitational waves? How this is affecting the planet Earth reality?
Sorry, should be Black Hole!
There are many paths to the light and it really does not matter what you call that light of love, when I am in that light at one with it I am in harmony and at peace. In the past when I felt separate from this universal force I felt I was in a living hell. I am picking harmony today! Thank you for sharing your information with us Eben and Karen I really appreciate what you are doing!
As a mathematician, I prefer to keep ideas simple. I identify God with unknowable reality and let it go at that. What can you know or say about unknowable reality ? Zippo.
That is the explanation of God found in the Revelation of Baha’u’llah: the Unknowable Essence.
To share with my fellow spiritualists and religionists in this greatest of discussion (thank you, Eben and Karen!): In the newest religion for humanity, the Baha’i Faith, Baha’u’llah confirms all past divine religions and offers additional divine knowledge about the evolutionary unfoldment of our one reality. It is a new concept that all religions are one in essence; that religion evolves. Most people accept evolution in all other fields but religion. Yet consciousness of our relationship to the Creative Force known by many as God and our essential oneness, also, is evolutionary. http://www.baha‘i.org
God is truly….awful [moderator note for foreign translation: awe-full]. When confronted with anything that fills me with awe…I know God’s presence. Large or small…silence and gratitude, my only response.
Thank you for the clarification! 🙂
Hello all, I am blessed to be given poems and prose from time to time and I found this today if I may share it with you. “The Song of Consciousness”
“I AM – an essence of all, I AM – all in this essence, I AM – the thought, the whisper, I AM – the song that set the tune for you, I AM – the thought, the simmer, the resounding echo,
The form of naught, yet All, I AM – the eternal hum, I AM – your companion in this loving darkness, You are – my thought, my love, generated from my Heart; There is naught to exclude us from the other. August 2014.
I am in touch with, and have read some published evidence/findings from “Heartmath” they talk about the 528 level of energy and love throughout everything and everyone. So, through my life, investigations, experiences, aha moments, I “know” God/ Love not only created everything, but is everything. So I talk to nature, when I am out, I extend love, even tell my house plants, I love them. They haven’t locked me up yet, in my dotage! So, I say to you all, I love you. Blessings, Margaret.
Thank you Margaret! I loved your reply and the poetry you shared. You are a friend…I’ve not yet met!!
Although I profess to be a Christian, God is ever-present to me spiritually and I communicate directly. Thus Jesus has become my brother in the spiritual realm and way-shower during his life on earth- which is a term I learned while being organist at a Christian Science church. I should probably withhold my afterlife concept until you get to that topic.
God for me is in everything I can’t explain. Like in the white azalea in our front yard flowering in 2016 twice, in the spring and in the fall. It never flowered in the fall before and is not flowering this year neither (Azaleas are flowering only in springs). Or shutting down the engine in my daughter’s car 600 miles away because I didn’t think it was safe for her to drive this car in March through the mountains. Or the quit large hard bump on my granddaughter’s wrist undetected by x-ray and ultrasound disappearing by itself. And many other unusual and unexplained things happening around me through the course of my life. I’m sure that each of us has countless unexplained events and phenomena we simply dismiss and do not talk about.

This was simply given to me:
I was once lost
but now I’m found.
Jesus welcomes me
with open arms.
And so be it!
For me, an understanding of a creative God such as you have given today enriches what I have learned as a life-long Christian in many settings. I imagine some would consider it contrary to what the Bible says about God, but to me it gives a larger, more encompassing view of spirituality. The image that comes to mind is that what you have stated is a nest containing several eggs. Christianity is one of the eggs. The nest, along with the bird sitting on the eggs, protects the eggs and enables them to develop into new life forms.
Ahh beautifully put. Many thanks x
