Workshop: The Dying Process

Christopher Kerr, MD

This workshop will focus on a physician’s perspective of the dying process, from diagnosis to death, and the vital need to humanize the care for those at the end of life. Dying is more than medical failure; it is the closing of a life. People do not stop living because they are dying.; in fact, dying is an important part of living. In addition to discussion of specific case studies, this interactive workshop will allow participants to discuss their own experiences with death and ask questions about those processes.

Through presentations and exercises, this workshop prepares the mind for comprehending and interacting with the world beyond in an entirely new way. Moody will report success in a revolutionary collective study opening a fresh perspective on what happens when we die. This workshop also imparts principles that are useful in fields as varied as medicine, psychology, literature, religious studies, advertising, and the law.

Keynote:  A Neurosurgeon’s Journey into the Heart of Consciousness

Eben Alexander, MD and Karen Newell

While in coma with his brain shut down, Eben Alexander experienced a spectacular odyssey to realms beyond our known physical universe—an ultra-real journey that ran counter to all conventional neuro-scientific views about brain, mind and consciousness. He will share about his inner journey then and now, the essential lessons he has learned, the role of unconditional love, and how science is expanding its boundaries to acknowledge the fundamental importance of consciousness in all that is, leading to a synthesis of science and spirituality. The brain serves as a filter to limit primordial consciousness, and Karen Newell will explain how to bypass that filter by going within and expanding our awareness to connect with our spiritual nature – something greater than our individual self. She will present a specialized Sacred Acoustics audio meditation to recognize and affirm the interconnections we share.

Workshop: Understanding Death as a Transformational Tool of the Soul

Eben Alexander MD and Karen Newell

Near-death experiences are one of the most transformative events that can occur, surpassing countless traditional approaches to achieving full health and wholeness. While every experience is tailored to the individual, there are certain common aspects that seem to play a role. Learn how the features of near-death experiences create a setting for soul growth and how we can all benefit without having to nearly die. Using advanced tools for brainwave entrainment meditation produced by Sacred Acoustics, you will personally experience a simulated, loving and peaceful transition to the spiritual realm.

Workshop: Optimizing Your Soul’s Journey in this Lifetime

Eben Alexander MD and Karen Newell

The life review teaches the participant how their actions affected others by reliving events from another person’s perspective, fully engaged in their emotional responses, revealing how the Golden Rule is written into the fabric of the universe. This understanding that we are integrally connected contributes to the transformative aftereffects of near-death experiences and enlivens a sense of meaning to our challenges here on earth. By cultivating a relationship with our inner world, it becomes clear how finding purpose in our lives provides a larger perspective of our interconnected soul journeys. Experience a Sacred Acoustics audio meditation to resonate with your true life’s purpose.

Christopher Kerr, MD

This workshop will focus on Dr. Kerr’s published research that describes and validates patients’ dreams and visions at the end of life. Kerr will explore how these near universal experiences often provide comfort and meaning as well as insight into the way a life was led. The presentation includes videos of patients and families describing the meaningfulness of these powerful end of life experiences. Plenty of time for discussion and questions.
