NDEs and the Emerging Scientific View of Consciousness
In 2008, best-selling author and neurosurgeon, Dr. Eben Alexander, spent seven days in a coma. While his brain was shut down, he experienced a spectacular near-death experience (NDE) into realms beyond our known physical universe—an ultra-real journey that ran counter to all conventional neuro-scientific views about brain, mind and consciousness.
He will describe highlights of his NDE and share what he has learned about the eternal nature of the soul and how the interconnectedness in the physical world is a reflection of the oneness we share through consciousness. There is a consilience in the scientific and philosophical communities studying consciousness that implies a unity of mind pervading the entire universe. Consciousness underlies all of existence, and the nonphysical realm can no longer be dismissed. He will further discuss the benefits of meditation and mindfulness, as well as the roles that love, free will, soul growth, and focused intention play in everyday life and healing.
Plenty of time for Q&A. Held online via Zoom.
